PPCPs and the ideas for Neighborhood, Social Structure and Living

again a dump of “ideas”/“things” from my thoughts on the matter

  • “the places, where cool people work on cool things together”…

  • housing is becoming way to expensive (2020s)… by putting our money and more importantly skills and manpower together, we could still build cool housing places

  • “Do you want to completely redo Social Structure?” … social structure reboot

  • a PPCP kind of a company town

    • every PPCP may have a few Focuses, Traits, things they do, Skills, Purposes, Produkts Projekts, …
      • for example the ppcp I would want to live in would have:
      • everyone could find the ppcp somewhere on the globe, which fits them the best… or you could just commute between two ppcps… to cover all your interests
    • most of the ppl there work on the same thing.. with the same interests
      • I think there is nothing more awesome, than living with like-minded ppl

  • “Humans were meant to life in small communities of like-minded people”,

  • “raising children is the most important thing you will ever do” … and a thing focused on at PPCPs

    • rel: It’s all about Upbringing
    • my collections of “things” on raising children is in the private kids note, here the main points:
      • kids should have a healthy community (not too small, not too large) of other kids and adults around them
      • kids should have Nature around them
      • there should be cool projects going on, where kids can participate, learn and have fun (that is not in front of computers)
    • schools are better on a small scale…
      • going in the direction of Homeschooling… where there are only 1, 2,… 10, … pupils taught by an adult
        • but I think still with some lessons… done for a broader audience… just for efficiency (especially for really skilled ppl… who’s time is valuable)
        • high skilled ppl… could do their holidays by going from ppcp to ppcp… and do lessions there about their craft/skill
      • “make teaching a part of every profession instead of having a profession called teacher”
        • eg: I would learn the kids at the PPCP where I live: swimming, computers, math, coding, electronics, …

  • PPCP as a WeekendWG

    • some people have weekend huts in the mountains… a ppcp could simply be a peace of land (with a way to sleep), where you spend your weekends with your friends
      • needs: place for a fire, pizza oven, …
      • could also serve as a guest house for friends who come to visit from all around the globe…
    • then it could also be a place to store Adventure/leisure-time Equipment (like SUPs, tents, sleeping mats/bags, climbing gear, small motor boat, e-bikes, …) which you share among all your friends
      • my family of 4 has quite many such things laying around our house… but it is not really used for most of the time…
      • I also would like this equipment to be organized in a way, which makes it fast to pack for a trip to eg a lake with SUPs and co… (instead of having to collect all the needed things from ALL around our house)
    • located more out in nature and not in a city
    • when working at employers who partner with PPC, maybe we could turn the workweek into 4 days of nonstop work 3 days at the WeekendWG (or even less + some remote work there)… and that based on when the weather is good…

  • a PPCP basically the same as Beesteez Island

  • when young, you should move from PPCP to PPCP to find you place in the world (and life partner)

  • inspirations…

    • certainly inspired to a part by Eco Villages or small Homestead groups… but there is no need to be fully “eco/green” with ppcps
    • Twin Oaks… but there is no need for full communism
    • and many more

”smaller things/ideas”

  • can we have a big sailing or even croiuse ship as a PPCP…

  • on caring for old people…

    • don’t have a special Altersheim… but have old people integrated into a ppcp

  • putting some containers onto land could be a cheap way to start a ppcp…

  • living together with a group of great people… I think is the best cure for Depression…
